We’re passionate about helping your
child bloom & grow as a learner!
For more than 35 years, I had the privilege of working in schools as both a classroom teacher and an instructional coach. While I deeply valued my career in education, my professional path took on new meaning when I discovered my true passion: helping students with dyslexia succeed.
My journey into dyslexia intervention became personal when I witnessed the transformative impact of the Barton Reading & Spelling System on our daughter, Liz. Seeing her confidence grow and her skills strengthen inspired me to begin tutoring students after school. What started as a calling quickly became a mission.
In 2016, I was trained by Susan Barton as a dyslexia screener, and since then, I have screened more than 70 students and worked with hundreds of dyslexic learners. I am deeply committed to supporting not only my students, but also their families, as they navigate their dyslexia journey.
This work is personal to me. I was once that dyslexic girl in the classroom. I understand the frustration, the self-doubt, and the quiet questions that can come with learning differently. I am also the proud mother of three successful, dyslexic, adult children. Dyslexia is not just part of my professional life, it is part of my story.
Because of this, I bring empathy, insight, and unwavering belief in every student’s potential. I know the struggle is real, and I also know the strengths are real. Creativity, resilience, problem-solving, and innovation are gifts I see in my students every day.
When I’m not tutoring or conducting dyslexia assessments, I cherish time with my husband Joe, our children and their spouses, and our 4 grandchildren. I enjoy cooking, baking, crocheting, and sewing, creative outlets that celebrate the very dyslexic gifts of imagination and ingenuity that I encourage in my students.
Helping students with dyslexia build confidence, skills, and hope is more than my profession, it is my purpose.
